Cathy Cassidy is the beloved author of many books for teen readers such as the Lost and Found series, the Chocolate Box Girls, and the Daizy Star books. In the tradition of The Diary of Anne Frank, she thinks letters are a good way to get a diary going. Says Cathy:
Write a letter to an imaginary character – maybe a book character you love – and explain to them what is going on, what it feels like and how you're actually handling it. Trying to express your feelings is every bit as important as any schoolwork.
